We started excavating for our new pool house on August 8. The initial work was slowed by an early snowstorm and the discovery of a cement slab that was three to four feet thick combined with construction debris dumped there when the Grand Summit was built. After consulting with our architect and Epic Engineering, a plan was generated to remove the construction material. Additionally it was determined that to ensure a proper base for the new structure, we would need to dig deeper after which controlled fill would be required for proper compaction. These were required change orders for the job. Excavation and hauling took about two weeks and the foundation was poured on October 29 with backfilling done this week, November 1.

Our website has pictures of the progress being made.

Based on current projections, Mint construction estimates the job will be completed around February 7, 2022.
